Sherwood Urgent Care seeks an experienced X-Ray Technologist to perform x-ray testing, operate diagnostic equipment, and assist with medical assistant duties at their Searcy, AR location.
Responsibilities
- Promptly greet patients when entering waiting area, exam room, and laboratory or x-ray room
- Consistently communicate with patients on wait times; provide direction to the next step in the treatment process
- Provide solutions to patient problems and recognize and seek help in emergent/hazardous situations
- Execute follow-up calls with a sense of urgency
- Assist front desk personnel with patient check in/out procedures when necessary
- Obtain and accurately document patient vital signs and weight, take brief history, past medical, family and social history current medications, allergies and other pertinent historical information as appropriate
- Assist with patient transfers
- Assist with procedures directly supervised by the provider
- Follow documentation procedures and complete required documentation related to patient visit
- Perform timely radiology procedures for subsequent evaluation and treatment by attending physician
- Perform necessary quality control procedures to ensure quality exams are performed
- Prepare patients for radiologic procedures and follow established clinical and regulatory procedures in regards to patient safety and care; including proper radiation protection and shielding techniques
- Ensure that equipment is in proper working order and report any malfunctions to the Manager or provider on duty
- Assume responsibility for maintaining and improving diagnostic imaging knowledge and skills with the support and assistance of outside educational resources
- Maintain current licensure and certification for the facility radiology equipment and licensure
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- BLS Certification
- AR State X-Ray License
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent

- Experience as a Medical Assistant
