X-Ray Tech

About This Role

Perform X-ray testing and Medical Assistant duties for patients in an urgent care setting. This role involves operating diagnostic equipment, preparing rooms, and ensuring patient safety during radiologic procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform x-ray testing including body mechanics and patient movement using knowledge of anatomy and physiology
• Operate diagnostic equipment, develop film, and prepare the room with necessary equipment and supplies
• Perform Medical Assistant duties as required
• Promptly greet patients and communicate wait times and next steps in the treatment process
• Provide solutions to patient problems and recognize/seek help in emergent/hazardous situations
• Obtain and accurately document patient vital signs, weight, brief history, current medications, allergies, and pertinent historical information
• Assist with patient transfers and procedures directly supervised by the provider
• Complete required documentation related to patient visits and radiology procedures
• Perform necessary quality control procedures to ensure quality exams
• Maintain current licensure and certification for facility radiology equipment and licensure

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• BLS Certification
• AR State X-Ray License
• Experienced ARRT Radiology or Limited License X-Ray Tech

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience as a Medical Assistant is preferred

• ARRT Certification
• Experience as a Medical Assistant
