About This Role

The X-Ray Technologist provides clinical and administrative support under the supervision of medical providers, ensuring effective patient care and maintaining a compassionate atmosphere. This role involves performing imaging procedures and supporting various nursing tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Fulfill all responsibilities of Nurse/Clinical Tech and Patient Care Specialist position
  • Deliver clinical and administrative support for the team, adhering to company policies and procedures
  • Monitor and track x-ray orders for timely completion and submission
  • Assist patients with proper positioning during exams for diagnostic quality
  • Ensure activities comply with federal and state regulations, including HIPAA
  • Review exam images for initial provider read and send finals to Radiology for overread
  • Correctly label laterality of all images using initialed lead markers
  • Confirm no removable artifacts are in anatomy requested and use proper technique
  • Address minor maintenance issues with machines and follow up for consultation
  • Monitor condition of cassettes and other x-ray equipment, reporting problems promptly
  • Maintain and distribute pregnancy waiver forms where applicable
  • Triage patients by checking vitals, collecting clinical history, performing blood draws, injections, and administering oral medications when not performing radiography
  • Monitor and read X-Ray badges monthly
  • Wear radiation monitors at all times in the X-Ray room and maintain reporting
  • Complete all mandatory compliance training

Requirements

  • Current ARRT License (Registered Technologist) or State License (Registered Technologists' and Limited Scope)
  • License must be active, in good standing, and verifiable with the proper regulatory agency
  • TB and IV Certification to be obtained within 60 days of employment
  • High School Diploma or its equivalent
  • CPR license

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or its equivalent
  • 1+ years of experience as a certified RT(R) or limited scope x-ray tech preferred in clinic setting, preferably urgent care

Nice to Have

  • 1+ years of experience as a certified RT(R) or limited scope x-ray tech in clinic setting (preferably urgent care)
