As a Uniform Security Officer, you will ensure the safety and security of client properties by performing surveillance, access control, and emergency response duties. This role involves maintaining a professional presence and providing excellent customer service.
Responsibilities
- Assist client staff, visitors, and coworkers while maintaining a positive and professional demeanor
- Stay alert and observe for any suspicious activities and incidents, then report them
- Maintain a professional appearance and stand guard in building lobbies, reception areas, and control centers
- Conduct foot and/or vehicle patrols of assigned areas, performing security officer duties as required
- Ensure unauthorized persons do not enter restricted areas, check employee and vendor IDs, and follow proper access procedures
- Ensure a safe and secure environment, enforcing policies and procedures and reporting safety concerns
- Assist in emergencies, including administering CPR/First Aid/AED care and communicating with emergency personnel
- Maintain professional communication with client staff, follow through with client requests, and update management on communications
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to pass a drug screening (including for marijuana)
- No felony convictions
- No misdemeanor convictions related to dishonesty, fraud, assault, weapons, controlled substances, or multiple alcohol offenses
- Ability to sit, stand, and walk for 8-12 hours
- Ability to lift at least 50 lbs.
- Must be CPR, First Aid, and AED certified or willing to become certified
- Ability to see clearly at least 20 feet away (assisted)
- Ability to hear conversations in loud environments
- Ability to use a smart mobile phone or computer for emails and online training
- Fluency in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English
- Professionalism and excellent customer service skills
- Excellent personal integrity and a positive attitude
- Ability to complete required trainings and adhere to policies
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent education certification, such as a GED
