Security Officer - Airport

About This Role

This role involves providing unarmed security services at an airport, focusing on customer service and enforcing client policies. The officer will ensure safety and act as a reliable and professional presence.

Responsibilities

• Report for shift on time, presentable, and in the prescribed uniform
• Balance outstanding customer service with maintaining client policies and enforcing rules
• Read and interpret written post guidelines, follow procedures as outlined, and ensure all tasks are completed
• Use de-escalation techniques to defuse situations through verbal judo and other communication tactics

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age or older
• Must have either a high school diploma or GED equivalent
• May NOT have any felony convictions and must be able to pass a criminal background check
• Must be able to successfully pass a drug test at the time of hire and randomly thereafter
• Must present a friendly, positive, and professional image
• Must have a valid Driver's License with a good driving record (Less than 2 at-fault accidents in the last 3 years, No other major violations in the last 3 years)
• Must be able to sit, stand or walk for the duration of the shift, including walking long distances, and possibly up and down stairs
• Must be able to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds
• Must be readily able to respond to emergency situations
• Ability to work independently with little or no supervision

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED

Nice to Have

• Willing to become CPR/1st Aide/AED Certified
