About This Role

This Triage Registered Nurse (RN) position in the Access Center is responsible for assessing patient needs using clinical knowledge and judgment, analyzing patient care issues, and providing clinical support for symptom assessment and management.

Responsibilities

  • Assess patient needs using decision-making skills
  • Apply clinical knowledge and judgment to analyze and act on patient care issues
  • Provide clinical support in assessment of symptoms
  • Determine symptom acuity
  • Offer information related to symptom management
  • Provide patient education
  • Coordinate care for patients

Requirements

  • Nursing Diploma, Associate Degree or other degree required for nursing licensure
  • 2-3 years of clinical nursing experience
  • Knowledge of computer and medical systems
  • Current State of CT RN license
  • Current CPR certification (required within 6 months of hire)

Qualifications

  • Nursing Diploma, Associate Degree or other degree required for nursing licensure
