About This Role

The Registered Nurse (RN) in Rheumatology utilizes evidence-based practices to provide holistic, patient-centered care within a non-acute setting. This role involves collaborating with an inter-disciplinary team and providers to meet the diverse needs of patients and their families.

Responsibilities

  • Provide nursing care within a non-acute setting in collaboration with the inter-disciplinary team and provider according to the patients' physical, emotional, spiritual, cultural, and educational needs of the patient and family
  • Coordinate and provide holistic patient-centered care
  • Utilize evidence-based practice in accordance with department and medical group policies and procedures to ensure safe quality care and customer service
  • Incorporate the art, advocacy, science and ethics in nursing effectively in daily practice
  • Demonstrate and actively support research utilization through inquiring into evidence-based practices
  • Evaluate and review the plan of care, working with the interdisciplinary team to meet the diverse needs of the patient and family
  • Identify and reliably document problems and expected outcomes based on a plan of care for a varied population of patients
  • Provide coverage at regional offices

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
  • Associate’s degree in Nursing
  • One year of experience with a minimum of 1000 hours of clinical experience as a licensed registered nurse
  • Registered Nurse, State of CT
  • Certified BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA)

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing; Associate’s degree in Nursing; BSN preferred
  • One year of experience with a minimum of 1000 hours of clinical experience as a licensed registered nurse
