Registered Nurse (RN) Neurosurgery

About This Role

The Registered Nurse (RN) provides skilled nursing care to patients in a neurosurgery office setting, collaborating with providers to assess physical and psychosocial needs and formulate care plans. This role ensures continuity of patient care through appropriate evaluation and intervention, utilizing established nursing processes, standards, protocols, and guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Provide office-based nursing care in collaboration with provider
• Assess physical and psychosocial needs and environmental factors affecting patients and their families
• Formulate nursing plan of care and ensure continuity of patient care through appropriate nursing evaluation and intervention
• Demonstrate independent nursing actions based on assessment and problem identification
• Triage telephone calls and display ability to initiate appropriate nursing intervention in a prompt, precise, and professional manner
• Assist patients and family members or other clients with concern and empathy, respecting confidentiality and privacy
• Assist with rooming

Requirements

• Current Connecticut RN License is required

Nice to Have

• Previous experience in Medical/Surgical Office setting preferred
• Experience with medical software
