About This Role

This role is responsible for the daily tasks of researching, validating, and initiating requisitions for materials supporting aircraft operations. The individual will manage inventory control, storing, packaging, shipping, receiving, and cataloging required materials. This position ensures efficient tool room operations and compliance with safety and accountability programs.

Responsibilities

  • Research, validate, and initiate requisitions
  • Perform requisitioning, procuring, inventory control, storing, packaging, shipping, receiving, and cataloging of materials
  • Effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
  • Provide training in specialty/qualification/certifications to other employees
  • Read and interpret all reports, directives, publications, and manuals
  • Perform off-site related services when directed
  • Operate standard office equipment
  • Visually inspect tools and equipment for wear or defects
  • Prepare written damage reports and disposal/turn-in documentation
  • Design, develop, document, and maintain requisition logs, files, and stock records
  • Engrave, etch, tag, or mark tools and equipment for accountability
  • Write item descriptions for new items entering supply channels
  • Use common hand tools and equipment to package, handle, and transport equipment
  • Ensure all applicable security measures are followed
  • Adhere to the Tool Control Program
  • Comply with established general and industrial safety rules and regulations

Requirements

  • Ability to read and write the English language
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret US Government Clearance
  • US Citizenship (required for Secret Clearance)
  • Ability to work all assigned shifts and schedules
  • Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 50-75 lbs
  • Knowledgeable in the Naval Aviation Logistics Command Management Information System (NALCOMIS/OOMA) Program
  • Ability to visually inspect tools and equipment for wear or defects
  • Ability to prepare written damage reports and disposal/turn-in documentation
  • Ability to design, develop, document and maintain requisition logs and files, stock records and work accomplished records
  • Ability to engrave, etch, tag or mark tools and equipment for accountability
  • Ability to write item descriptions for various new items
  • Ability to use common hand tools and equipment to package, handle, and transport equipment, supplies and materials
  • Prior military personnel must present a member 4 DD214 with an Honorable character of service discharge
