AGE Mechanic

About This Role

Support Aircraft Ground Equipment (AGE)/Ground Support Equipment (GSE) services by performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, diagnosing malfunctions, and ensuring equipment serviceability, primarily focusing on mechanical and electrical systems for aviation support.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on AGE/GSE
• Inspect, test, and operate AGE/GSE to determine serviceability and proper operation
• Service equipment with fuel, oil, water, coolant, hydraulic fluid, refrigerant, and compressed air
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical circuitry malfunctions using visual, auditory, and test equipment
• Disassemble, repair, clean, treat for corrosion, assemble, and reinstall malfunctioning AGE/GSE components and accessories
• Stencil and mark AGE/GSE in accordance with technical publications
• Prepare AGE/GSE for storage and mobility deployment
• Operate, clean, inspect, and service AGE/GSE towing vehicles
• Maintain and update paper and electronic equipment records
• Provide dispatch service for AGE/GSE, including positioning equipment to support aircraft maintenance

Requirements

• 3+ years of AGE/GSE maintenance experience
• Ability to inspect, repair, and operate ground support and auxiliary equipment
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 3 years of AGE/GSE maintenance experience
