Territory Sales Manager

About This Role

Develop and grow the Texas territory for a regional wholesale and MGA insurance firm by building strong agency relationships, promoting insurance products, and executing marketing strategies.

Responsibilities

• Maintain an in-depth understanding of WestPac’s insurance products and services
• Collaborate with management to implement and execute marketing strategies and plans
• Regularly engage with retail agencies through visits, networking events, and trade shows
• Discuss WestPac products, industry trends, and business strategies with agents
• Travel to visit agencies in the state of TX including major cities
• Log relevant discussions with agents and carriers within the agency management/CRM system
• Provide weekly marketing reports
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities across an untapped territory
• Develop and grow strategic agency partnerships to drive new revenue
• Assist with the development of marketing materials, social media campaigns, and website updates
• Provide minor underwriting assistance when needed
• Maintain positive, ongoing relationships with carriers
• Work closely with internal teams to address technical issues and resolve client-related concerns

Requirements

• 3+ years in P&C insurance marketing or related fields
• Current residency in Texas
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively
• Ability to travel regularly for agency visits and industry events

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in P&C insurance marketing or related fields

Nice to Have

• Broker or Underwriter experience
• Familiarity with agency management systems and CRMs
• Familiarity with other creative software
