About This Role

As a Territory Sales Manager, you will build and nurture customer relationships, drive sales growth, and identify new business opportunities within the foodservice industry for US Foods in the Metro Tampa area.

Responsibilities

  • Own and nurture customer relationships in a team-based selling model, educating customers on ordering platforms and providing menu consultations, product recommendations, and pricing strategies.
  • Drive sales success by selling to customers, increasing case growth, and acquiring new business through impactful sales presentations and tailored sales approaches.
  • Collaborate with Specialists, marketing, supply chain, and customer service to assist with top penetration opportunities, new account openings, and seamless product delivery.
  • Develop new business by identifying prospective customers using market intelligence databases, business directories, leads from existing clients, and by participating in organizations, clubs, trade shows, and conferences.
  • Manage deliveries to the routing schedule published by the transportation department and troubleshoot problems during the order process (e.g., delivery mis-picks, short loads, stock-outs).
  • Stay informed about market conditions, product innovations, and competitors' products, prices, and sales, sharing this information with customers as value-added services.
  • Drive a personal motor vehicle to conduct regular check-ins, site visits, and follow-ups to ensure customer satisfaction.

Requirements

  • HS Diploma or equivalent
  • A valid driver's license with a good motor vehicle record
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and presentation abilities
  • Ability to build internal and external relationships and cold call to develop new business
  • Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Competitive spirit with a drive to exceed goals
  • Problem-solving ability, organization, and negotiation skills
  • Team-up mentality to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to occasionally lift or carry up to 75 lbs.

Qualifications

  • HS Diploma or equivalent
  • 1+ year of sales experience preferred

Nice to Have

  • 1+ year of sales experience
  • Foodservice industry/culinary/restaurant management/hospitality experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM tools like Salesforce
