Manage sales and marketing initiatives for Exmark and Spartan brands within the designated mountain territory (Colorado, Utah, parts of Idaho, Wyoming) to achieve market share leadership and ensure dealer compliance. This role involves building strong dealer relationships, conducting product training, and resolving sales channel issues.
Responsibilities
- Meet or exceed stated sales objectives for the area of primary responsibility (APR)
- Maintain sound business relationships with professional, goal-oriented, and financially capable dealers focusing on Exmark and Spartan brands to grow market share annually
- Work closely with dealer personnel to create powerful and energetic promotional initiatives to meet or exceed annual sales objectives
- Maintain sufficient whole goods inventory, service parts and accessories in dealer stock to assure retail objectives can be achieved
- Assist each dealer within APR annually in preparing an annual business/activity plan, and review quarterly
- Conduct product and sales training meetings for dealer personnel utilizing the latest sales tools
- Communicate and implement all Exmark and Spartan initiatives and expectations to assigned dealers within APR
- Timely communicate channel issues with Exmark and Spartan management
- Secure competitive information as per assignment
- Facilitate, negotiate, and resolve specific sales channel issues that involve dealers and/or end users
- Represent Exmark and Spartan at assigned trade shows, dealer functions, training conferences, and other non-APR events
- Provide required business and administrative reports utilizing appropriate and approved avenues
- Participate in scheduled quarterly TM reviews, business planning sessions, and a variety of Exmark and Spartan sponsored meetings
- Identify and apply Lean methodologies to territory management
Requirements
- Legally authorized to work in the United States (no visa sponsorship available)
- High School Diploma with 2+ years relevant experience OR Bachelor's degree with 0+ years relevant experience (for Level I TSM)
- Valid driver's license
- Willingness to trailer, load, unload, and demonstrate equipment
- Enjoy building and cultivating long term business relationships
- Mechanical aptitude and orientation
- Willingness to travel and spend considerable overnights and some weekends away from home (80% travel anticipated)
- Self-motivated and willing to work long hours
Qualifications
- HS Diploma with 2+ years relevant experience OR BS with 0+ years of relevant experience for Level I TSM; HS Diploma with 5+ years relevant experience OR BS with 3+ years of relevant experience for Level II TSM
- 0+ years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree (Level I TSM) or 2+ years relevant experience with a HS Diploma
Nice to Have
- Strong industry experience with knowledge in outdoor power equipment
- Sales experience with understanding of sales cycle
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel, MS Outlook, and mapping software
