Operate the telephone switchboard console, paging systems, and alarm panels for Adventist Health Glendale, providing courteous and timely assistance to callers in a leading healthcare provider environment. This role involves light clerical functions and occasional training of new employees.
Responsibilities
- Operate telephone switchboard console, overhead paging system, two-way radio, alpha/numeric paging unit, and wall alarm panels.
- Answer calls in a courteous and timely manner, accurately connecting callers to their requested destination.
- Perform light clerical functions, including assisting with patient admitting and sorting/distributing mail.
- Monitor alarm panels, telephones, two-way radio, and fax, documenting malfunctions and notifying designated personnel.
- Verify and update on-call lists.
- Orient, instruct, mentor, and develop new personnel on job duties and departmental activities.
Qualifications
- High School Education/GED or equivalent: Preferred; Associate’s/Technical Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience: Preferred
- Customer service call center experience: Preferred
