Certified Nursing Assistant

About This Role

Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse, assisting patients with daily living activities and reporting their status on the 4 Main unit during night shifts.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal nursing care to patients under the direction of a licensed registered nurse (RN)
• Perform tasks associated with activities of daily living, including assisting with nutrition, hydration, elimination, personal care, positioning devices, restraints, and restorative care
• Perform routine assigned tasks and report patients’ status and concerns to the RN
• Take vital signs including pulse and blood pressure
• Help patients with basic needs, such as bathing, dressing, and feeding
• Perform a variety of clerical duties, including routing patient reports as appropriate
• Use organizational skills to keep the unit running smoothly and prioritization skills to meet deadlines
• Provide assessment data to certified nurse within the scope of practice (vital signs, patient verbal and nonverbal responses)

Requirements

• Basic Life Support (BLS OR HS-BLS OR RQIBLS) Health Care Provider certification
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification

Qualifications

• High School Education/GED or equivalent: Preferred

Nice to Have

• Phlebotomy Certification (in CA and HI)
• Audiometry and vision training or certificate from CHDP (in CA and HI)
