Technical Product Specialist

About This Role

This role involves guiding products through their lifecycle, ensuring alignment with business strategy and customer needs. The Technical Product Specialist acts as a subject matter expert, providing critical support across the organization and ensuring technical accuracy in product-related communications.

Responsibilities

• Serve as subject matter expert on product specifications, certifications, and applications to support internal teams and external stakeholders.
• Collaborate with Marketing Communications to develop and validate technical content for campaigns, white papers, and digital materials.
• Partner with Marketing Communications and Sales to deliver technical presentations and provide training.
• Work with local and international Engineering teams to translate market requirements into technical specifications.
• Develop and maintain portfolio hierarchy, product descriptions, and technical attributes within the Product Information Management (PIM) system.
• Support customer-facing initiatives by participating in technical presentations, training sessions, and discussions with specifiers, architects, and designers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, architecture, product management, or a related field (preferred)
• 3-5 years of experience in a technical role within the architectural lighting or furniture industries
• Strong understanding of product specifications, certifications, and technical documentation
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, architecture, product management, or a related field
• 3-5 years of experience in a technical role within the architectural lighting or furniture industries.

Nice to Have

• Experience with a lighting manufacturing company, lighting design firm, or landscape architecture firm
• Familiarity with PIM systems and experience maintaining product data
