Inside Sales Rep

About This Role

Join a 35-year-old lighting distributor in East Hartford to provide inside sales support to existing accounts, manage sales orders, and ensure customer satisfaction. This role is crucial for maintaining relationships and tracking project progress within the energy-efficient lighting industry.

Responsibilities

• Work with Outside Sales Team to provide support and service to existing accounts
• Enter sales orders in ERP system, including verification of rebate products
• Expedite purchase orders by contacting vendors to track products from order to delivery
• Establish, develop, and maintain positive business and customer relationships
• Input lighting project data into models to produce reports
• Update database with relevant product specifications, certifications, and pricing
• Ensure accuracy of input data into lighting payback analysis
• Track project progress, report, and maintain project timelines
• Quickly resolve customer problems and complaints to maximize satisfaction
• Coordinate sales efforts with team members and other departments
• Obtain or enhance product and technical knowledge in the lighting industry

Requirements

• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to operate multiple simultaneous projects
• Familiarity with Microsoft Excel and Word
• Goal oriented, self-motivated with a strong work ethic

• Previous lighting industry experience
