Quotation & Order Specialist

About This Role

The Quotation & Order Specialist connects business partners with internal teams to convert project inquiries into accurate quotations and manages orders while maintaining relationships with various clients. This role ensures seamless execution of lighting and furniture projects from quote to fulfillment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed, accurate quotations for lighting distributors, FFE Procurement partners, and wholesale showrooms.
• Review and interpret client materials to determine appropriate product solutions.
• Apply pricing strategies that balance competitiveness with profitability.
• Process and track orders from quote acceptance through fulfillment, ensuring accuracy at each stage.
• Serve as primary contact for contract clients, lighting representatives, and wholesale partners.
• Provide responsive technical support and product guidance to address customer questions and requirements.
• Collaborate with purchasing, logistics, and production teams to ensure seamless order execution.
• Document and track incoming project inquiries and quote requests in CRM systems.
• Follow up on outstanding quotes to advance opportunities through the sales pipeline.
• Provide the sales team with updates on quote status, customer feedback, and project timelines.

Requirements

• 3-5 years in a quotations role in a B2B environment
• 2-3 years in a customer service-related role in a B2B environment
• Associate degree in a technical or business-related field
• Meticulous attention to detail
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Thorough working knowledge of reading lighting schedules
• NetSuite or similar CRM tool familiarity
• Knowledge of electrical codes and practices
• Microsoft Office proficiency
• Google Suite proficiency

Qualifications

• Associate degree in a technical or business-related field
• 3-5 years in a quotations role, preferably in the lighting industry in a B2B environment; 2-3 years in a customer service-related role, with preference for the lighting industry in a B2B environment.

Nice to Have

• Experience in the lighting industry for both quotations and customer service roles
