Manage a state-of-the-art rapid prototyping facility, the Design Factory, at the University of Bristol's new Temple Quarter Enterprise Campus. This role involves setting up the facility, providing technical support, and managing staff for novel and innovative projects across various disciplines for research, student, and commercial needs.
Responsibilities
- Manage the Design Factory, a rapid prototyping facility, including its spaces and staff
- Set up the Design Factory for opening
- Run the facility to provide excellent technical support to researchers, students, and commercial customers
- Manage a novel technical and training facility to deliver outcomes
- Help others use specialist rapid and light fabrication equipment and facilities in standard and innovative ways
- Train lay users while working with world experts on research and technical projects
- Set up services and facilities from first principles to ensure practical functionality
