About This Role

The University of Bristol is seeking to appoint three lecturers (equivalent to Assistant Professor) in the School of Biological Sciences to develop internationally outstanding research programs and contribute to undergraduate and postgraduate teaching.

Responsibilities

  • Build and lead a research programme to a world-leading standard
  • Teach both undergraduates and postgraduates in Biological Sciences
  • Engage with research, teaching, and administration in the department
  • Develop expertise in authentic assessment and feedback, technology-enhanced learning, and student wellbeing
  • Create new research opportunities across the Faculty of Health and Life Sciences and with external industrial partners

Requirements

  • High-quality research portfolio commensurate with experience
  • Track record of developing innovative approaches in research that tackle fundamental and outstanding questions in Biological Sciences
  • Strong commitment and aptitude for teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate levels
  • Research aligns with and adds value to the strategic priorities outlined in the School Research Strategy
