The Syndications Capital Markets Analyst I supports FCB's Capital Markets team in structuring, pricing, and distributing lead financings for the Commercial Finance and Middle Market Banking divisions. This role involves participating in an intensive Analyst Development Program to build technical skills in underwriting, financial analysis, and Excel modeling.
Responsibilities
- Support the Capital Markets team in all elements of deal execution
- Work alongside industry teams to pitch new business
- Construct comparable company trading, M&A, and debt analyses to assist in transaction pricing and structuring
- Prepare transaction materials (lender presentations, confidential information memoranda, and models) to support syndication of FCB-led financings
- Actively participate in investor outreach and diligence
- Prepare and distribute FCB’s Leveraged Loan Market Update
- Maintain debt comparables for FCB’s various business units
- Prepare market update presentations for pitches, conferences, and internal meetings
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree and 0 years of experience in Coursework or internship in credit analysis, financial statement spreading, Underwriting or Risk Management OR High School Diploma or GED and 4 years of experience in Coursework or internship in credit analysis, financial statement spreading, Underwriting or Risk Management
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or High School Diploma/GED
- 0 years of experience with Bachelor's Degree, or 4 years with High School Diploma/GED in coursework or internship in credit analysis, financial statement spreading, underwriting, or risk management.
Nice to Have
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Finance or equivalent
- One year experience or recent college graduate
- GPA of 3.5 or higher
- Internship or extracurricular experience in financial services (credit, investment banking, or private equity)
- Strong quantitative skills including financial statement analysis
- Strong writing and communication skills
- Ability to multi-task and meet tight deadlines
- Strong interest in financial products and markets
