This remote Business Systems Analyst role provides strategic insight into business systems for Treasury IT, focusing on investments, capital markets, cash, and liquidity management. The position involves complex analysis, reporting, and operational activities, serving as a technical expert on system usage and performance.
Responsibilities
- Source, compile, and interpret data, performing advanced data analysis and directing analysis output
- Determine system requirements and communicate them through specifications, reports, and project plans
- Resolve complex factors affecting system processes and ensure compliance through monitoring and analysis
- Provide strategic insight into business systems through reports to senior management
- Evaluate systems based on data analysis, user input, and extensive testing, developing process enhancements
- Provide expert technical support for systems by responding to inquiries and improving end-user experience
- Handle escalated and complex support issues, developing and implementing modifications and enhancements
- Serve as an analytics resource, offering expertise on systems and data output
- Lead engagement with business partners on changing business needs, analyze business requirements, and communicate system implications
- Provide leadership to team members and peers
Requirements
- 4 years of experience in Systems Support, Analytics, or Operations Support (with Bachelor's Degree) OR 8 years of experience in Systems Support, Analytics, or Operations Support (with High School Diploma or GED)
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
- Ability to write complex and effective SQL queries
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Systems Support, Analytics, or Operations Support OR High School Diploma or GED
- 4 years of experience with a Bachelor's Degree, or 8 years of experience with a High School Diploma/GED, in Systems Support, Analytics, or Operations Support
Nice to Have
- More than 4 years of experience as a business systems analyst in the financial domain (Treasury, Liquidity, Group Finance, Regulatory Reporting, Product Control etc.)
- Proven track record in business requirements elicitation techniques, translation to functional and non-functional requirements, solutions design, story writing, test planning and change management
- Proven experience in business process reengineering and systems analysis
- Experience working with data management projects (data analysis, data governance, data quality and lineage)
- Experience in defining test strategy and writing test cases
- Experience in SDLC and Agile methodologies
- Functional knowledge of financial instruments (Repo, Investments, Cash, Derivatives, and Debt)
- Experience with creating interfaces for Trading Systems
- Experience with Murex Front Office/Middle Office/Back Office/Operations
