About This Role

As a Sushi Clerk, this position is responsible for filling customer orders, handling food safely, and ensuring product availability and freshness within the Hy-Chi department. The role focuses on providing excellent customer service and maintaining a clean work environment.

Responsibilities

• Fill customer orders and handle food in a safe manner
• Order and receive products, ensuring correctness of orders
• Label, date, and properly store products
• Provide courteous, friendly, and efficient customer service
• Prepare, finish, and replenish products as necessary
• Anticipate product needs for the department daily
• Ensure proper sanitation procedures are practiced and work area is clean
• Review the status and appearance of food for freshness
• Adhere to company policies and store guidelines
• Operate scale, shrink wrap machine, and Telexon re-ordering machine

Requirements

• Ability to follow detailed written or verbal instructions
• Ability to do simple addition and subtraction
• Ability to understand and follow verbal or demonstrated instructions

Qualifications

• High school or equivalent experience
• Six months or more of similar or related experience
