About This Role

Supervise and coordinate daily activities of a revenue cycle/patient accounts team, ensuring compliance with federal and state laws and internal policies. Oversee denial management, accurate patient accounts, and training for team development.

Responsibilities

  • Recommend developmental opportunities and provide coaching to team members to drive performance improvement
  • Supervise and coordinate daily activities of the designated work team, monitoring execution and completion of tasks
  • Ensure team's work is in compliance with federal and state laws and applicable standards, and deliver monthly quality reports
  • Oversee the management of inquiries from providers, members, attorneys, and insurance personnel regarding billing questions
  • Facilitate the denial process by ensuring quality of performance affecting denials and performing follow-up/denial management activities
  • Ensure finances are completed accurately by monitoring usage and proper expenditure for the team
  • Manage performance management initiatives by monitoring team performance metrics and providing coaching
  • Manage process management initiatives by collaborating with operations managers, IT, Finance, and health plan managers for process improvement
  • Manage project management initiatives by supervising project execution and management efforts
  • Lead regulatory reporting by sharing training resources and applying regulation standards to team's work
  • Manage systems management initiatives by collecting team feedback, providing training, and facilitating review and adoption of system updates
  • Facilitate training delivery and development for the team based on policies, audit findings, and work curriculum
