Supervisor, Environmental Services

About This Role

Supervise and coordinate daily environmental services activities, ensuring facilities are maintained in a safe, clean, and operationally effective condition while adhering to regulatory compliance and departmental policies. This role involves managing staff, supporting resource planning, and optimizing service levels.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily activities of environmental services staff, providing guidance and support
• Monitor execution and completion of tactical action items and work assignments
• Ensure facilities are clean, sanitary, and operationally effective through regular inspections and quality assessments
• Evaluate and recommend new products based on environmental trends and regulatory requirements
• Ensure compliance with EVS departmental policies and procedures relative to OSHA, DHS, The Joint Commission, CDC, CMS, and other agencies
• Facilitate staff training and development to ensure program compliance and performance standards
• Recruit, hire, and schedule employees to ensure accurate staffing levels
• Coach team members to utilize processes and tools to eliminate injuries and increase workplace safety
• Identify and recommend opportunities to decrease costs and increase service levels
• Collaborate with other departments and committees to align activities and improve processes

Requirements

• Knowledge of environmental trends and regulatory requirements (OSHA, DHS, The Joint Commission, CDC, CMS)
