Supervise all aspects of warehouse operations in a distribution center, providing leadership, training, and performance management to a team of warehouse personnel. Ensure safe and successful daily activities while maintaining operational efficiency and adherence to company policies.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and direct daily activities of warehouse teammates to ensure safe and successful completion of all related daily warehouse activities and operations
- Oversee and delegate training of warehouse personnel
- Verify and ensure all applicable Warehouse processes are followed, including handling damaged product check-in
- Conduct interviews and make hiring decisions for hourly teammates
- Document and deliver performance management discussions including disciplinary documents
- Communicate with other departments and internal/external stakeholders as it relates to identified process improvements, quality, Out-of-Stocks (Out of Stocks), Late Loads
- Manage and model the safety culture and strive for 100% compliance concerning safety policies and procedures
- Provide expertise and hands-on assistance in any area of Warehouse Operations when required
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- 1-3 years of relevant experience
- 1-2 years experience supervising or leading people in a warehouse environment
- Ability to lead, coach, teach, and train
- Extensive knowledge of all Warehouse Processes and Warehouse Systems
- Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and think proactively
- Strong communication skills - written and oral
- Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced atmosphere while walking and repetitively lifting 30 lbs.
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
- Ability to collaborate within a team environment
- Ability to coordinate and organize efficient and dependable warehouse processes
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 1 to 3 years of relevant experience; 1 to 2 years’ experience supervising or leading people in a warehouse environment
Nice to Have
- PIT (Powered Industrial Truck) Certification
