Sales Merchandiser

About This Role

This role involves building partnerships with retailers, focusing on selling products and promotions, and merchandising within an assigned territory in Anderson, SC. The Sales Merchandiser manages accounts, executes commercial plans, and ensures proper inventory levels for Coca-Cola products.

Responsibilities

• Manage assigned customer accounts on daily, pre-set routes
• Generate sales orders based on assigned delivery frequency
• Execute applicable promotions and new products based on target lists and commercial plans
• Fill, merchandise, and rotate products on display and shelves according to procedures
• Organize and maintain backroom inventory, arranging returns of damaged or outdated products
• Create and distribute point-of-sale materials
• Foster business relationships with store personnel through follow-up and proactive discussions
• Identify and communicate competitive issues or market activities affecting the business
• Communicate with merchandisers and specialists supporting the territory on days off

Requirements

• Valid in-state driver’s license
• Excellent driving history
• Proof of insurance policy with specified coverage
• Effective communication skills (listening, speaking, writing)
• Willingness to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment (lifting 50 lbs. repetitively)

Qualifications

• High School Education / GED

Nice to Have

• Prior customer service experience in a retail setting
• Secondary education beyond high school
