Supervisor - Clinical Engineering Radiology Equipment Specialist

About This Role

Supervise Biomedical Electronics Technicians, manage daily operations, and implement staff training programs. This role also involves assisting with the life cycle of medical equipment from design to maintenance, focusing on radiology equipment.

Responsibilities

• Ensure adequate daily staffing levels for Biomedical Electronics Technicians.
• Perform periodic performance evaluations, recommend employment, disciplinary actions, commendations, and terminations.
• Manage workloads and priorities, ensuring equipment maintenance programs are within established guidelines.
• Implement the departmental training program for technicians.
• Ensure an adequate supply of repair parts and materials.
• Ensure written maintenance procedures exist for all equipment in inventory.
• Work with leadership to make staffing and budgeting recommendations.
• Perform equipment repairs and preventive maintenance.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in an engineering or scientific field or equivalent
• 4 years of experience in Biomedical Engineering, preferably in a hospital setting
• Ability to interact effectively with staff and patients under difficult conditions

Qualifications
