Superintendent - Traffic Control

About This Role

Oversee and manage all aspects of traffic control for construction projects, ensuring safety compliance and efficient execution. This role involves coordinating with project teams, conducting risk assessments, and managing budgets for traffic control measures.

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee the implementation of traffic control plans for construction sites
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards relating to traffic control devices
• Coordinate with project managers and construction teams to align traffic control measures with project timelines
• Conduct risk assessments and site safety inspections to identify potential hazards
• Monitor and maintain the quality of traffic control devices and procedures on site
• Prepare and manage project budgets related to traffic control measures
• Develop and maintain schedules for traffic control setups and takedowns during project phases
• Provide training and guidance to staff and subcontractors on traffic control practices and safety protocols
• Communicate effectively with local authorities and other stakeholders regarding traffic control operations

Requirements

• 5+ years of traffic control or roadway construction experience
• Strong understanding of MUTCD and MassDOT standards
• Experience working on DOT or municipal roadway projects

Qualifications

• 5+ years of traffic control or roadway construction experience, with 3+ years in a supervisory role preferred
