Staff RN

About This Role

The Staff RN provides professional nursing care, utilizing the nursing process, in accordance with established standards of care, policies, and procedures. This role serves as a leader of the healthcare team, demonstrating quality and effectiveness in clinical practice while treating co-workers, patients, and families with dignity and respect.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care utilizing the nursing process
• Uphold Kaiser Permanente's Policies and Procedures, Principles of Responsibilities, and applicable laws
• Serve as a leader of the healthcare team, delegating tasks appropriately
• Understand own and team members' scope of practice and escalate issues
• Demonstrate professional, supportive behavior and champion new ideas
• Lead and direct others through the change process
• Participate in problem identification and resolution
• Mentor, orient, and coach others in unit specific operations and patient care activities
• Prioritize, delegate, and supervise work assignments to ensure patient care activities are completed
• Comply with regulatory requirements, policies, procedures, and standards of practice
