About This Role

As a Staff Registered Nurse, you will lead the healthcare team, providing professional nursing care and utilizing the nursing process to ensure high-quality patient outcomes. You will uphold established standards of care, policies, and procedures, contributing to the Medical Center's vision and mission.

Responsibilities

• Uphold Kaiser Permanentes Policies and Procedures, Principles of Responsibilities, and applicable state, federal and local laws
• Serve as a leader of the health care team; delegate tasks appropriately, and demonstrate appropriate accountability
• Understand own and team members scope of practice and escalate issues as appropriate
• Develop and/or contribute to the individualized plan of care that reflects assessment, planning, implementing, and evaluating the outcomes of that plan
• Ensure care meets standards of practice and effective development and completion of discharge plan
• Ensure patient safety related but not limited to, medications and procedures utilizing the five rights, patient falls, decubitus prevention and prevention of nosocomial infections
• Chart accurately, legibly, dated, and timed, reflecting nursing process and interventions and evaluations taken
• Discuss patient findings and progress toward outcomes with physicians and other members of the health care team
• Adhere to Workplace Safety principles and practices; apply standard precautions and maintain a safe environment for self and others
• Practice customer service standards, promptly answer call lights, alarms, and patient requests, and maintain and protect patient confidentiality
