About This Role

The Staff Nurse functions as a healthcare team leader, responsible for providing safe, patient-centered care through the nursing process, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. This role also involves guiding patient education and ancillary personnel while upholding professional nursing standards.

Responsibilities

• Function as a health care team leader
• Ensure safe delivery of patient-centered, goal-oriented care through the nursing process
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care
• Direct and guide patient teaching
• Direct and guide activities of ancillary personnel
• Maintain standards of professional nursing
• Provide nursing care, health maintenance, teaching, counseling, planning and restoration for optimal functioning and comfort

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
• Thorough knowledge of nursing principles and procedures
• Currently licensed as an RN in Massachusetts
• BLS certification
• Ability to speak the English language understandably
• Possess sight/hearing senses or use prosthetics that enable these senses to function adequately

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Nursing. BSN preferred.
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing, with a thorough knowledge of nursing principles and procedures.
