Homehealth Intake & Scheduling Specialist

About This Role

This role supports Berkshire Visiting Nurse Association (BVNA) home health services by accurately scheduling all disciplines and patients, including orientees, students, and residents with preceptors. It also involves processing incoming patient referrals in accordance with agency procedures.

Responsibilities

• Accurately schedule all disciplines and patients for BVNA home health services
• Assign BVNA orientees, nursing and therapy students, and residents with preceptors on a rotating basis
• Process incoming patient referrals in accordance with established agency procedures
• Maintain assigned work schedules with dependability and work flexible hours as needed for relief
• Distinguish between independently made decisions and decisions requiring coordination with a clinician or manager
• Make decisions and work independently with little direction
• Multitask priorities accurately amidst frequent interruptions
• Function as an active, supportive team member

Requirements

• Computer/software experience
• Proficient in medical terminology

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
