Drive global marketing strategy and execution for a partner firm, aligning initiatives with sales targets and managing the marketing budget. Lead and develop a marketing team, enhancing product visibility and market penetration to foster innovation and growth.
Responsibilities
- Direct U.S. OPT marketing to deliver annual sales and profit targets
- Develop and execute comprehensive marketing plans in partnership with cross-functional teams
- Collaborate with business leadership and product development to support product initiatives and launches
- Hire, manage, train and develop OPT marketing staff
- Manage department budget and compensation programs
- Build productive relationships across stakeholders, including customers and vendors
- Plan and manage promotional campaigns, trade show materials, sales meetings, and focus groups
- Identify market trends and opportunities to strengthen commercial performance
- Lead cross-functional teams to ensure clear and consistent messaging
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree
- 12+ years of progressive marketing and sales/sales management experience
- 5+ years personnel management experience
- Experience in capital equipment and consumables in the medical/surgical setting, particularly ophthalmology
- Strong direct sales 'downstream marketing' experience
- Exceptional marketing leadership, analytical, and decision-making skills
- Polished oral presentation and written communication skills
- Experienced in financial analysis and analysis tools (i.e., spreadsheets)
- Ability to work across functions, business sectors, and diverse markets
- Experience in product marketing, product development, and customer-facing roles
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred
- Minimum 12 years of progressive marketing and sales/sales management experience, preferably in the medical device industry; minimum 5 years personnel management experience
