About This Role

Drive global marketing strategy and execution for a partner firm, aligning initiatives with sales targets and managing the marketing budget. Lead and develop a marketing team, enhancing product visibility and market penetration to foster innovation and growth.

Responsibilities

  • Direct U.S. OPT marketing to deliver annual sales and profit targets
  • Develop and execute comprehensive marketing plans in partnership with cross-functional teams
  • Collaborate with business leadership and product development to support product initiatives and launches
  • Hire, manage, train and develop OPT marketing staff
  • Manage department budget and compensation programs
  • Build productive relationships across stakeholders, including customers and vendors
  • Plan and manage promotional campaigns, trade show materials, sales meetings, and focus groups
  • Identify market trends and opportunities to strengthen commercial performance
  • Lead cross-functional teams to ensure clear and consistent messaging

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 12+ years of progressive marketing and sales/sales management experience
  • 5+ years personnel management experience
  • Experience in capital equipment and consumables in the medical/surgical setting, particularly ophthalmology
  • Strong direct sales 'downstream marketing' experience
  • Exceptional marketing leadership, analytical, and decision-making skills
  • Polished oral presentation and written communication skills
  • Experienced in financial analysis and analysis tools (i.e., spreadsheets)
  • Ability to work across functions, business sectors, and diverse markets
  • Experience in product marketing, product development, and customer-facing roles

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred
  • Minimum 12 years of progressive marketing and sales/sales management experience, preferably in the medical device industry; minimum 5 years personnel management experience
