Principal Cloud Managed Services Engineer

About This Role

This crucial role involves creating and maintaining cloud-based infrastructure solutions for managed services clients. You will lead the design and management of complex cloud solutions, guiding a team of engineers, and collaborating across various departments to ensure high standards and compliance for client success.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain cloud-based infrastructure for managed services clients
• Provide technical support across various cloud technologies and solutions
• Act as a consultant for complex issues that require advanced problem-solving
• Document and share knowledge to assist other engineers in issue resolution
• Serve as an emergency support contact for critical client issues
• Lead the design and architecture of customized cloud solutions
• Oversee implementation and ensure adherence to best practices
• Monitor and optimize cloud performance while identifying issues
• Implement and maintain cloud security measures for compliance
• Lead troubleshooting and resolution of complex cloud incidents
• Identify opportunities for improvement in cloud performance and service
• Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation
• Develop scripts and automation solutions for enhanced efficiency
• Manage projects related to technology delivery based on client requirements
• Implement Disaster Recovery solutions and conduct tests

Requirements

• Excellent problem-solving skills for complex cloud issues
• In-depth knowledge of cloud technologies and managed services
• Excellent understanding of cloud monitoring and management tools
• Strong scripting skills in Python, Perl, or Ruby
• Experience with automation tools like Ansible, Puppet, or Chef
• Extended experience in Managed Services and IT service management

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology/Computing or equivalent
• Extended experience in Managed Services and IT service management
