This role involves screening, evaluating, and educating patients with various speech, language, and cognitive deficits. The Speech Therapist will plan and conduct rehabilitative and counseling programs, ensuring high-quality patient care in alignment with established policies.
Responsibilities
- Screen, evaluate, and educate patients with speech, language, dysphagia, dysarthria, voice, fluency, and cognitive deficits
- Plan, direct, and conduct rehabilitative and counseling programs for communication and swallowing disorders
- Perform Speech Therapy treatments in accordance with established policies and procedures
- Maintain the highest degree of quality patient care at all times
- Cover one weekend shift per month
Requirements
- Masters’ Degree from an accredited Speech Therapy school
- Current Louisiana State SLP License
- Current BLS certification
- Ability to read and communicate effectively in English
- Basic computer knowledge
