Speech Therapist

About This Role

As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will help patients regain their communication and swallowing abilities by designing and implementing personalized rehabilitation plans. You will work to diminish or remediate disorders and deficits, taking responsibility for the effective and efficient delivery of rehab services.

Responsibilities

• Help patients communicate, swallow, and work to diminish or remediate disorders or deficits
• Take responsibility for the effective and efficient delivery of rehab services
• Design and execute treatment plans with patients
• Address the whole patient and see them as an individual
• Adapt to the needs of the patient and work in varied settings
• Collaborate with peers and make referrals to ensure comprehensive patient care
• Train patients and caregivers on skills to promote independence and productivity

Requirements

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, Communication Disorders, Communicative Disorders or similarly-titled area that is consistent and acceptable to the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association
• Licensed, certified or credentialed, as required in the state of practice
