About This Role

This Speech Therapist role at Powerback involves helping patients improve communication and swallowing abilities, designing and executing rehab service plans, and training patients and caregivers.

Responsibilities

• Help patients communicate
• Help patients swallow
• Work to diminish or remediate disorders or deficits
• Design and execute rehabilitation service plans
• Address the whole patient as an individual
• Restore, reinforce, and enhance speech and communication abilities.
• Train patients and caregivers on skills to promote independence and productivity
• Clean equipment
• Participate in meetings
• Make referrals to help patients get the care they need

Requirements

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, Communication Disorders, Communicative Disorders or a similarly-titled area consistent with ASHA standards
• ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence or eligibility for ASHA Clinical Fellow program
• State licensure, certification, or credentialing for practice

Qualifications

• A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, Communication Disorders, Communicative Disorders or similarly-titled area that is consistent and acceptable to the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.
