This Speech Therapist role at Powerback involves helping patients improve communication and swallowing abilities, designing and executing rehab service plans, and training patients and caregivers.
Responsibilities
- Help patients communicate
- Help patients swallow
- Work to diminish or remediate disorders or deficits
- Design and execute rehabilitation service plans
- Address the whole patient as an individual
- Restore, reinforce, and enhance speech and communication abilities.
- Train patients and caregivers on skills to promote independence and productivity
- Clean equipment
- Participate in meetings
- Make referrals to help patients get the care they need
Requirements
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, Communication Disorders, Communicative Disorders or a similarly-titled area consistent with ASHA standards
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence or eligibility for ASHA Clinical Fellow program
- State licensure, certification, or credentialing for practice
Qualifications
- A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, Communication Disorders, Communicative Disorders or similarly-titled area that is consistent and acceptable to the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.
