Shift Lead

About This Role

The Shift Lead at Walgreens is responsible for opening and closing the store independently, managing cash handling, and overseeing daily operations. This role focuses on delivering exceptional customer service, maintaining store displays and inventory, and ensuring compliance with company policies and local regulations.

Responsibilities

• Open and close the store in the absence of store management, including system start-ups and cash handling.
• Complete product returns, order voids, customer refunds, and cash drops.
• Engage customers and patients, resolve issues, and provide assistance with products and services.
• Model and share customer service best practices with team members.
• Assist with and coach team members on warehouse and vendor ordering processes.
• Operate cash register, including recording sales and managing errors.
• Assist in reviewing order exceptions and managing reverse logistics.
• Evaluate and develop promotional, seasonal, and sale merchandise displays.
• Maintain accurate inventory counts and ensure proper signage for pricing.
• Assist with bookkeeping activities, store maintenance, and ensure compliance with regulated product laws.

Requirements

• One year of prior leadership, supervisory, or retail key holder work experience.
• Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.

Qualifications
