Shift Lead

About This Role

Serve as a Shift Lead, opening and closing the store, handling cash, and ensuring operations run smoothly. Deliver a distinctive customer experience and assist with inventory management and team coaching.

Responsibilities

• Open and close the store, including system start-ups and cash handling
• Complete product returns, order voids, customer refunds, and provide change
• Engage customers and patients, offering assistance and resolving issues
• Coach team members on warehouse and vendor ordering processes
• Register all sales on cash register, including error records and price modifications
• Assist in reviewing order exceptions and managing reverse logistics
• Evaluate and develop displays, including promotional and seasonal merchandise
• Maintain accurate inventory counts and on-hand quantities
• Ensure the Outdate program is followed by team members
• Perform basic department pricing and daily price changes, ensuring proper signage
• Assist with bookkeeping activities, including cash reports and bill payments
• Ensure clean, neat, and orderly store conditions, requesting repairs as needed
• Assist with separation of food items and product placement according to policies
• Ensure compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products
• Conduct bag checks of team members before they leave the store
• Communicate assigned tasks to team members when management is absent
• Report disciplinary issues and customer complaints to management

Requirements

• One year of prior leadership, supervisory, or retail key holder work experience
• Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English

Qualifications

• One year of prior leadership, supervisory, or retail key holder work experience.

Nice to Have

• Knowledge of store inventory control
• Valid PTCB certification or pharmacy license as required by state
