Shift Lead

About This Role

This role involves opening and closing the store, managing cash handling, assisting customers, and overseeing various operational tasks to ensure the store runs smoothly, especially in the absence of management.

Responsibilities

• Open and close the store, including system startups and cash handling
• Complete product returns, order voids, customer refunds, and cash drops
• Engage customers, resolve issues, and answer questions to ensure a positive experience
• Model and share customer service best practices with team members
• Assist with and coach team members on warehouse and vendor ordering processes
• Register all related sales on assigned cash register, including error records and price verifications
• Assist in reviewing order exceptions and reverse logistics
• Evaluate and develop displays, including promotional, seasonal, and sale merchandise
• Maintain accurate inventory counts and ensure proper signage for pricing
• Assist with bookkeeping activities, including cash reports and bill payments
• Ensure store cleanliness and appearance, and report necessary repairs
• Assist in handling food items according to policies and stock rotation
• Ensure compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products
• Perform bag checks of team members before they leave the store
• Serve as a liaison between management and non-management team members, communicating tasks

Requirements

• 1 year of leadership, supervisory, or retail key holder work experience
• Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English

Qualifications

• One year of prior leadership, supervisory, or retail key holder work experience.

Nice to Have

• Knowledge of store inventory control
• Valid PTCB certification or pharmacy license as required by state
