The Shift Lead is responsible for opening and closing the store, managing cash handling, and ensuring operational readiness. This role also involves delivering excellent customer service and coaching team members on daily tasks.
Responsibilities
- Open and close the store, including system start-ups and cash handling procedures
- Perform product returns, order voids, customer refunds, and provide change for cash registers
- Model and share customer service best practices with team members
- Engage customers, resolve issues, and answer questions to ensure a positive experience
- Assist and coach team members with warehouse and vendor ordering processes
- Accurately register all related sales on the cash register and record errors
- Assist in evaluating and developing displays, completing resets and revisions
- Maintain accurate inventory counts and ensure proper signage for pricing
- Assist with bookkeeping activities, including cash reports and bill payment
- Ensure exterior and interior maintenance, including requesting store repairs as needed
Requirements
- One year of prior leadership, supervisory, or retail key holder work experience
- Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English
Qualifications
- One year of prior leadership, supervisory, or retail key holder work experience
Nice to Have
- Knowledge of store inventory control
- Valid PTCB certification or pharmacy license as required by state
