Shift Lead

About This Role

The Shift Lead is responsible for opening and closing the store, managing cash handling, and ensuring operational readiness. This role also involves delivering a distinctive customer experience and supporting team members in daily tasks.

Responsibilities

• Open and close the store in the absence of store management, including system startups and cash handling
• Engage customers and patients, offering assistance and resolving issues to ensure a positive experience
• Model and share customer service best practices with team members
• Assist with and coach team members on the warehouse and vendor ordering process
• Register all related sales on assigned cash register, including processing errors and price verifications
• Assist manager or assistant store manager in reviewing order exceptions and reverse logistics
• Evaluate and develop displays, including promotional, seasonal, and sale merchandise
• Maintain accurate inventory counts and ensure the accuracy of on-hand quantities
• Assist with the Outdate program and basic department pricing
• Assist with bookkeeping activities including cash reports and counts
• Ensure compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products
• Communicate assigned tasks to team members when store management is not present

Requirements

• One year of prior leadership, supervisory, or retail key holder work experience
• Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English
• Willingness to work flexible schedule, including evening and weekend hours

Qualifications

• One year of prior leadership, supervisory, or retail key holder work experience

Nice to Have

• Knowledge of store inventory control
• Valid PTCB or ExCPT certification or pharmacy license as required by state
