Shift Lead

About This Role

The Shift Lead is responsible for opening and closing the store, managing cash handling, and ensuring the store is ready for business operations. This role focuses on delivering exceptional customer service and supporting daily store operations.

Responsibilities

• Open and close the store, including system start-ups and cash handling.
• Complete product returns, order voids, customer refunds, and cash drops.
• Engage customers, resolve issues, and provide assistance with products and services.
• Assist with and coach team members on warehouse and vendor ordering processes.
• Register all related sales on cash registers, including scanning errors and price verifications.
• Review order exceptions and assist with reverse logistics.
• Evaluate and develop displays, including promotional, seasonal, and sale merchandise.
• Maintain accurate inventory counts and daily price changes.
• Assist with bookkeeping activities like cash reports and bill payments.
• Ensure store cleanliness and appearance, and request repairs as needed.
• Ensure compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products.
• Communicate assigned tasks to team members in the absence of management.
• Report disciplinary issues and customer complaints to management.

Requirements

• One year of prior leadership, supervisory, or retail key holder work experience
• Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English
