Shift Lead

About This Role

The Shift Lead is responsible for opening and closing the store, managing cash handling, and ensuring operational readiness. This role also focuses on delivering a positive customer experience, assisting with inventory management, and supporting daily store operations.

Responsibilities

• Open and close the store, including system start-ups and cash handling procedures
• Complete product returns, order voids, customer refunds, and cash drops
• Model and deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience
• Engage customers and patients, resolving issues and answering questions
• Assist with and coach team members on warehouse and vendor ordering processes
• Register all related sales accurately on assigned cash register
• Assist in reviewing order exceptions and reverse logistics
• Evaluate and develop merchandising displays, including promotional, seasonal, and sale items
• Maintain accurate inventory counts and on-hand quantities across departments
• Ensure the Outdate program is followed by team members
• Implement daily price changes and ensure proper signage is displayed
• Assist with bookkeeping activities, including cash reports and bill payments
• Ensure clean, neat, and orderly store condition and appearance, requesting repairs as needed
• Assist with separation of food items and product placement following policies
• Ensure compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products
• Serve as a liaison between management and non-management team members
• Report disciplinary issues and customer complaints to management

Requirements

• 1 year of prior leadership, supervisory, or retail key holder work experience
• Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English

Qualifications

• 1 year of prior leadership, supervisory, or retail key holder work experience

• Knowledge of store inventory control
