The Shift Lead at Walgreens is responsible for opening and closing the store, handling cash, managing deliveries, and ensuring a positive customer experience. This role supports store operations, maintains accurate inventory, and assists with training team members.
Responsibilities
- Open and close the store, including system startups and cash handling duties
- Complete product returns, order voids, customer refunds, and manage cash registers
- Engage customers, resolve issues, and provide assistance to ensure a distinctive customer experience
- Assist with warehouse and vendor ordering processes
- Maintain accurate inventory counts and ensure proper signage is displayed for accurate pricing
- Assist with bookkeeping activities, including cash reports and bill payments
- Ensure compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products
- Communicate assigned tasks to team members in the absence of store management
- Report disciplinary issues and customer complaints to management
Requirements
- One year of prior leadership, supervisory, or retail key holder work experience
- Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English
Qualifications

Nice to Have
- Knowledge of store inventory control
- Valid PTCB certification or pharmacy license (as required by state)
