Shift Lead

About This Role

The Shift Lead at Walgreens is responsible for opening and closing the store, handling cash, managing deliveries, and ensuring a positive customer experience. This role supports store operations, maintains accurate inventory, and assists with training team members.

Responsibilities

• Open and close the store, including system startups and cash handling duties
• Complete product returns, order voids, customer refunds, and manage cash registers
• Engage customers, resolve issues, and provide assistance to ensure a distinctive customer experience
• Assist with warehouse and vendor ordering processes
• Maintain accurate inventory counts and ensure proper signage is displayed for accurate pricing
• Assist with bookkeeping activities, including cash reports and bill payments
• Ensure compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products
• Communicate assigned tasks to team members in the absence of store management
• Report disciplinary issues and customer complaints to management

Requirements

• One year of prior leadership, supervisory, or retail key holder work experience
• Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English

Nice to Have

• Knowledge of store inventory control
• Valid PTCB certification or pharmacy license (as required by state)
