Shift Lead

About This Role

The Shift Lead is responsible for opening and closing the store, managing cash handling, and ensuring operational readiness. This role also focuses on delivering excellent customer service and coaching team members.

Responsibilities

• Open and close the store, including system startups and cash handling duties
• Complete product returns, order voids, customer refunds, and cash drops
• Model and deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience
• Engage customers, resolve issues, and answer questions
• Assist with and coach team members on warehouse and vendor ordering processes
• Register all related sales on cash register, manage scanning errors and price modifications
• Assist in reviewing order exceptions and managing reverse logistics
• Evaluate and develop displays, complete resets and revisions
• Maintain accurate inventory counts and manage outdate programs
• Make daily price changes and ensure proper signage is displayed
• Assist with bookkeeping activities including cash reports and bill payments
• Ensure clean, neat, orderly store condition and appearance
• Assist with separation of food items and product placement according to policies
• Serve as a liaison between management and non-management team members, communicating assigned tasks
• Report disciplinary issues and customer complaints to management

Requirements

• 1+ year of prior leadership, supervisory, or retail key holder work experience
• Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English

Qualifications

• One year of prior leadership, supervisory, or retail key holder work experience

Nice to Have

• Knowledge of store inventory control
• Valid PTCB certification or pharmacy license (as required by state)
