Shift Lead

About This Role

The Shift Lead is responsible for opening and closing the store, managing cash handling, and ensuring operational readiness. This role also focuses on delivering excellent customer service and assisting with inventory and merchandising tasks.

Responsibilities

• Open and close the store, including system start-ups and cash handling
• Handle product returns, order voids, customer refunds, and cash drops
• Engage customers, resolve issues, and ensure a positive customer experience
• Coach team members on customer service best practices
• Assist with warehouse and vendor ordering processes, including receiving deliveries
• Register all sales on cash register and manage related errors and price adjustments
• Assist in reviewing order exceptions and managing reverse logistics
• Evaluate and develop merchandise displays, completing resets and revisions
• Maintain accurate inventory counts and ensure proper signage for pricing
• Assist with bookkeeping activities including cash reports and bill payments
• Ensure store cleanliness and appearance, and request repairs as needed
• Assist with food item separation, product placement, and stock rotation (FIFO)
• Serve as liaison between management and non-management team members, assigning tasks
• Report disciplinary issues and customer complaints to management

Requirements

• One year of prior leadership, supervisory, or retail key holder work experience
• Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English

Qualifications

• One year of prior leadership, supervisory, or retail key holder work experience.

Nice to Have

• Knowledge of store inventory control
• Valid PTCB certification or pharmacy license as required by state
