Shift Lead

About This Role

The Shift Lead is responsible for opening and closing the store, managing cash handling, and ensuring operational readiness. This role also focuses on delivering a positive customer experience and supporting daily store operations.

Responsibilities

• Open and close the store, including system start-ups and cash handling
• Complete product returns, order voids, customer refunds, and cash drops
• Model and deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience
• Engage customers and resolve issues to ensure satisfaction
• Assist with and coach in warehouse and vendor ordering processes
• Accurately register sales, verify prices, and manage voids
• Assist in reviewing order exceptions and managing reverse logistics
• Evaluate and develop displays, including promotional and seasonal merchandise
• Maintain accurate inventory counts and follow Outdate program
• Manage basic department pricing and ensure proper signage
• Assist with bookkeeping activities including cash reports and ledgers
• Assist with exterior and interior store maintenance and cleanliness
• Ensure proper separation and placement of food items and stock rotation
• Communicate assigned tasks to team members in management's absence
• Report disciplinary issues and customer complaints to management

Requirements

• 1 year of leadership, supervisory, or retail key holder experience
• Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English

Qualifications

• One year of prior leadership, supervisory, or retail key holder work experience.

Nice to Have

• Knowledge of store inventory control
• Valid PTCB certification or pharmacy license (if required by state)
