About This Role

Serve as a Shift Lead for Walgreens, overseeing store operations in the absence of management, delivering excellent customer service, and ensuring efficient inventory management and compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Open and close the store in the absence of store management, including system start-ups, cash handling, and preparing the store for business.
  • Complete product returns, order voids, customer refunds, cash drops, and provide change to cash registers.
  • Engage customers and patients, offering assistance and resolving issues to ensure a positive experience.
  • Share customer service best practices with team members.
  • Assist with and coach team members on warehouse and vendor ordering processes.
  • Register all related sales on assigned cash register, including handling scanning errors and price verifications.
  • Assist in reviewing order exceptions and reverse logistics.
  • Assist in evaluating and developing displays, including promotional, seasonal, and sale merchandise, and complete resets.
  • Maintain accurate inventory counts and ensure accuracy of on-hand quantities.
  • Ensure the Outdate program is followed by team members.
  • Responsible for basic department pricing, daily price changes, and ensuring proper signage is displayed.
  • Assist with bookkeeping activities, including cash reports, cash counts, and bill payment.
  • Ensure clean, neat, and orderly store condition and appearance, including requesting repairs.
  • Assist with separation of food items and proper product placement, as well as stock rotation.
  • Ensure compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products.
  • Complete special assignments and other tasks as assigned by management.
  • Serve as a liaison between management and non-management team members, communicating assigned tasks.
  • Report disciplinary issues and customer complaints to management.

Requirements

  • One year of prior leadership, supervisory, or retail key holder work experience
  • Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English

Qualifications

  • One year of prior leadership, supervisory, or retail key holder work experience.

Nice to Have

  • Knowledge of store inventory control

Certifications

PTCB certification or pharmacy license (if required by state) (Required)
